The camera that I use is not actually a webcam, as some people are lead to believe. I actually use an old digital video camera that my husband has had since before we met. It's a Sony Digital HandyCam and the model number is DCR-TRV 70. Just to give you an idea of how old it is technology-wise, the manual has a copyright date of 2001. But the camera still works great and I haven't gotten any complaints about the quality, so I see no need to upgrade to a newer camera.

I use a camera (and a rather cheap one at that) that was made by Olympus. The model name and number is Camedia D-540 ZOOM. The key to taking the pictures that you see in my videos is good lighting and Macro mode. There is actually an option on my camera that I believe is called Super Macro. I use that setting when I take my pictures, and I always do my tutorials during the day time so I can get the best natural lighting for my videos and pictures. I've been asked to do a tutorial on how I take my pictures, and to calm the masses, I will do one. So keep an eye out for it! :)

No. Make-up is something I just do for fun. There have been times when I've done make-up for friends or for their daughters for proms or other special occasions, but I don't actually do make-up for a living.

Yes, the thought has crossed my mind a few times...especially after I started doing YouTube videos and started getting the responses I was getting.

The MAC palettes that I keep my eyeshadows in are considered a "Pro" product and that is why you can not find them on maccosmetics.com. However, even though they are considered a Pro product, you can still purchase the palettes four different ways.

Keep in mind, the palettes come empty and you have to order the eyeshadows separately, so do not expect to have the arrangement of colors that I have in my palettes. All of the following options not only offer you the chance to purchase the palettes, but also offer you the opportunity to purchase the eyeshadows in pan form, rather than in pots, which makes them ready to go into your empty palette as soon as you receive them.

Here are the following options for ordering the palettes.

1. Go to www.maccosmetics.com.
2. On the menu on the right-hand side, you'll find a link for Customer Service. Click on it.
3. A new page will appear with a menu on the left-hand side. There will be a link for "Product Information". Click on it.
4. On the new page, there will be a list of questions referring to MAC products. The second question refers to the palettes. The phone number to place an order for the palettes is listed in the answer there.

If you want to order from the MAC Pro and don't have a Pro membership:

1. Go to www.macpro.com.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the link for "Customer Servic".
3. The new page will bring up customer service information, including the phone number to order through MAC Pro.

Another option for those of you lucky enough to have a MAC "free-standing" store near you, is that you can purchase the palettes at these stores. You can also get the eyeshadows already in pan form from the stores as well. Now by free-standing, I mean that when you go to a store to buy your MAC products, you physically walk into a MAC store--not a Nordstrom, Belk, Macy's, or other sort of department store that has a MAC counter. If you walk into your Nordstrom, walk up to the MAC counter and tell them that you want to buy a 15-eyeshadow palette, they're going to tell you that your shit-out-of luck...well, not really, but they will tell you that they don't sell the palettes there.

To find a MAC free-standing store near you:

1. Go to www.maccosmetics.com.
2. On the menu on the right-hand side, click on "Find Stores".
3. On the next page, enter in your address information or just your zip code, and click on "Go".
4. The next page will come up with a list of the nearest MAC counters and Stores near you. To differentiate between a free-standing store and a counter, a free-standing store will be listed simply as "MAC". A counter will be listed as "Macy's", "Belk", "Nordstrom", "Robinsons-May", or whatever other department store.

A last and final option, if you live in the US or have a Pro store in your country, is to call up the Pro store nearest to where you live, and place an order through the store. The store will then ship the palettes, and anything else you order, out to you.

To find your nearest MAC Pro store:

1. Go to www.macpro.com.
2. Click on "Find Stores" on the menu to the right.
3. On the next page, enter in your address info or just your zip if you live in the US.
4. Now here is the important part--Make sure you check the little box that says "Show only M·A·C stores that sell MAC PRO Product". This will make sure that you get results that show only Pro stores.
5. Click "Find MAC".
6. The next page will pull up results of your nearest Pro stores.

"That stuff" would be Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (UDPP). It is a base that I apply to my lids any time I wear any sort of eyeshadow. I wear UDPP because it helps the eyeshadow to stay on my lids longer, keeps my makeup from creasing, and, in my opinion, makes the colors of the eyeshadow more vibrant. I love everything about it (except the packaging-if you happen to purchase the stuff, make sure to watch my video about getting the most out of your UDPP). Nope. Everything I've learned is stuff I've just picked up along the way, whether it was from me just trying something out or from reading/hearing about a different technique. If I saw a look I liked in a magazine or on the internet, I'd save the picture and try to recreate the look to fit my features. Sometimes it would work, and sometimes, I just needed more practice. But I've never had any formal training. And because I never went to school for any of this or have any professional training, that is why I, in no way, shape, or form, claim to be a professional make-up artist.

Don't tell anyone I told you this but in all honesty, I don't always know what colors will go good together. Most of the time (it's actually more like all of the time), I just sit down at my make-up table and decide right then and there what to wear for eyeshadow. I try different colors as I go. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I used to not know anything about color theory, but then I took an art class in college and somewhat learned the basics. If you can get your hands on a color wheel, and study the terms that are on the wheel and what they apply to, you'll know the basics. Wal-Mart sells color wheels in the arts & crafts section. Try checking out your arts & craft stores too!
